Submit your deposit online. A non-refundable $200 deposit or a partially refundable $500 deposit is required.

Best decision I made was to go to MBC. Everyone was extremely nice and professional. The hospital and hotel were very clean. The staff was super efficient. There was always a nurse on staff who spoke English (good for me since I don’t really know any Spanish). I went alone and was a little nervous, however as soon as I landed in San Diego they made me feel completely safe and comfortable. I chose Dr. Valenzuela as my surgeon. She was so nice and answered all my question and put me at ease before surgery. I would definitely recommend MBC to anyone.
If you're on the fence, just take that leap of faith. This place took really great care of me, I felt like I was in good hands the entire time. My experience here was way better than my birthing experience at a US hospital. Which hotel will I be staying at?
You will be staying at Hyatt Place Hotel in Tijuana, Mexico. Your hotel stay is covered in our all-inclusive bariatric surgery packages.
What Payment Methods are Accepted?
Our preferred payment options are Cashier’s Check, Zelle, or Direct Deposit. We also accept Debit/Credit Card, In-person Deposits, Wire Transfers, and Cash.
What financing options are available for weight loss surgery?
Financing options include:

Can I bring someone with me?
Yes you can come with a companion or go alone. The companion fee is $245-$390 for their entire stay at the hotel depending on the surgery procedure. Companions are not allowed to stay at the hospital however, we do have visiting hours so they can come see you.
Do I need a passport? What documents are required?
A current passport is advised for all individuals in your party. If you do not have a passport or your passport is expired, we suggest ordering an expedited passport application/renewal in order to receive your passport prior to your departure to Mexico.
If you do NOT have a passport
If you are crossing the border, you may use one of the following instead of a conventional passport only upon approval from your Patient Coordinator.
- Passport ID Card
- Enhanced Driver’s License (Currently only the following states that provide these are: Washington, Vermont, Michigan, Minnesota, and New York)
- Both a Valid Driver’s License/ID Card AND Original U.S. Birth Certificate (no copies). It is also highly suggested to bring your Social Security card as well as a recent utility/cell phone bill that matches your name and the address shown on your license/ID (in combination with License and original U.S. Birth Certificate)
Our Hospital
Our bariatric-specialized facility, is just 20 minutes from San Diego airport and offers the safety and amenities of larger hospitals. At Mexico Bariatric Center, a private facility for bariatric surgery, we provide in-house radiology, endoscopy, four operating rooms, and post-op recovery suites.
